Viewings

• Arrange viewings in daylight
• Have someone with you
• Check the driver's licence before any test drive
• Confirm insurance for the test drive

Payment

• Agree the price in writing
• Confirm payment with your bank before handing over the car

The paperwork

• Give a receipt
• Tell the DVLA, DMV or licensing office
• Complete the ownership paperwork
• Cancel or update your insurance
• Remove the car from parking and toll accounts
• Keep a copy of the receipt
