General
Is Petal Home free to use?
Yes, with some limits: 3 shared lists and 2 private lists, one planned meal a day, 5 saved recipes and 2 shops to sort your shopping by. Premium removes those limits and adds calendar sync, recipe import from a link, Outgoings and Countdowns, for £4.99 a month or £39.99 a year, with a 14-day free trial.
When does Petal Home launch, and on which phones?
Petal Home is on track to launch towards the end of 2026, on iPhone and Android at the same time, so it does not matter which phone anyone in the family has.
Is my family's information private?
Yes. Petal Home is private by design: no adverts, no ad tracking, and you decide what stays private to you and what is shared with your household.
What age do you need to be to use Petal Home?
You need to be at least 13. Anyone aged 13 to 17 can join a household an adult in the household has already set up. To create a household or take out Premium, you need to be 18 or older.
Calendar
Can I connect Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar?
Yes, with Premium. Connect one calendar account per person — Google, Outlook or Apple — and it syncs automatically in both directions, so an event added in either place appears in the other. See connecting your calendars for the detail.
Is the calendar shared, and can some things stay private?
The calendar is shared with your household by default, but you can keep events private to yourself too. The same choice runs through lists, reminders and outgoings: shared with the household, or just for you.
Meals
Can I bring in recipes from other websites?
Yes, with Premium. Paste in a link and Petal Home brings the recipe in for you, no retyping.
Is the meal plan shared with the whole household?
Yes. Everyone in the household can see the plan and add to it.
Lists
Can the whole family add to a shared shopping list?
Yes. A shared list updates for everyone as items are added or ticked off.
Can I keep some lists private to myself?
Yes. A list can be personal to you or shared with the household, whichever suits it.
Chores and reminders
Can I assign a chore or reminder to someone else?
Yes. Set a reminder for yourself, or assign one to someone else in the household, and it lands as a notification for them when it is due.
Money
Does it track subscriptions and bills, and remind me before they renew?
Yes, with Premium. Outgoings keeps subscriptions and bills in one place, personal or shared, with a reminder before something renews.
Countdowns
What can I count down to?
Countdowns is a Premium feature. Count down to anything your family is looking forward to: a holiday, a birthday, moving day. Each countdown gets its own checklist and reminders.
Parental controls
Can I control what my child can see and do?
Yes. Parents have per-person controls over what each child can see and edit in the household, including areas like meals.
Your account
What happens to my information if I delete my account?
Your account and personal information are deleted straight away, and a small sign-up record is kept for 2 years for legal reasons before it's removed too. If you're the only person in your household, the household is deleted with you; otherwise anything you shared stays with them. See Delete your account for the full detail.
