My connected calendar isn't syncing

If events from Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar aren't coming through, try these checks.

1Step 1 of 4

Sync now

Pull down on Plan to sync straight away. Or open Import calendar, tap Change on your connected calendar, then Sync now.

2Step 2 of 4

Look for a message on Plan

If you see Your connected calendar has stopped syncing, tap it. Disconnect the calendar, then connect it again. Its events leave Petal Home and come back when you reconnect. Events you made in Petal Home stay.

3Step 3 of 4

Apple Calendar

Apple Calendar syncs through your iPhone, so it catches up when you open Petal Home on that phone.

4Step 4 of 4

School, club or team links

Calendars added from a link update once a day, on the phone of the person who added them. They can also tap Refresh.

Good to know

  • If Premium has ended, connected calendars stop syncing. Everything already there stays put.
  • If you're no longer an admin, the household calendar stops syncing. An admin can make you an admin again.
  • Some calendars are view only. Their events come in, but nothing goes back.
  • On iPhone, if you see "Petal can't reach your phone's calendar", check Calendar access in your phone's Settings.
  • Connecting a calendar needs Premium and the ability to edit Plan.
  • Seeing events twice? The same account may be connected in Petal Home and also through your phone's calendar. Turn one of them off.
