Download your data or delete your account
How to download a copy of your household's information, sign out, or delete your account.
Deleting your account can't be undone, and you need to be online. If you pay for Premium, cancel it first. Deleting your account doesn't cancel your plan.
Open Account
On Home, tap the round Settings button at the top right, then Account.
Download your data
Tap Export my data. Your phone's share options open, so you can save the copy to Files, email it or send it somewhere else.
You get two files for the household you're in: one that's easy to read, and one complete copy of the data.
Sign out
Tap Sign out, then Sign out again to confirm. Nothing is lost, and everything is there when you sign back in.
Delete your account
Tap Delete account, read what will happen, then type DELETE and tap Delete account.
If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm too.
Good to know
- If you're the only admin and there are other adults, you can pass the household to one of them first.
- If you're the last person in the household, the household and everything in it are deleted.
- Otherwise, your private things are deleted and anything you shared stays with the household.
- In the delete flow, Before you go… lets you Pass the family to another adult. In other households you belong to, an adult is made admin automatically.
- Anyone can export or delete, but only for their own account. Export covers only the household you're in.
