Free trial, charges and refunds
How the 14-day free trial works, how to stop it becoming a paid plan, and what to do if you've been charged.
How the trial works
If your App Store or Google Play account is eligible for a free trial, Premium is free for the first 14 days. After that, the plan you chose starts and renews automatically.
Cancel before you're charged
To avoid being charged, cancel before the trial ends. In Settings, tap Petal Home Premium, then Cancel or change your plan. On iPhone, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or plan period ends.
Your subscription in the App Store or Google Play shows exactly when your trial ends.
Asking for a refund
Payments go through Apple or Google, so refund requests need to be made through them.
Paid, but Premium isn't on?
On the Petal Home Premium page, tap Restore purchases.
Good to know
- If you see Your payment is still going through, Premium switches on as soon as the payment clears.
- Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
- When Premium ends, nothing is deleted. Premium things stay readable but become view-only.
- On the Premium page you'll see "You're in your free trial" and the date your plan starts. After you cancel it says your plan is set to end on a date, and everything stays unlocked until then.
- Only the person who pays can cancel.
