What Petal Home connects with
With Premium, Petal Home keeps your Google, Outlook or Apple calendar in sync both ways and can bring in calendars from a link. Sharing your Petal Home calendar with other apps is free.
At a glance
| Calendar | What it does | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Google Calendar | Keeps in sync both ways, even while the app is closed | Premium |
| Outlook Calendar | Keeps in sync both ways, even while the app is closed | Premium |
| Apple Calendar (iPhone and iPad) | Keeps in sync both ways through your phone. Not on Android. | Premium |
| A calendar link (school, club, team) | Brings the events in and refreshes once a day | Premium |
| Import once | Copies events in once, with no ongoing sync | Premium |
| Share your calendar | A link other calendar apps can follow. One-way. | Free |
Good to know
- You can connect one of Google, Outlook or Apple at a time. Disconnect one before connecting another to avoid bringing in the same events twice.
- Events you add in Petal Home go into a new calendar in Google or Outlook called Petal Home (or Petal Home (Private)). On iPhone they go into a new calendar on your phone.
- Some calendars are view only, such as holiday calendars. Their events come in, but nothing goes back.
- Apple Calendar syncs while Petal Home is open and catches up each time you open it.
- On Android you can connect Google or Outlook, or copy your phone's calendar in once with Import once, From this phone.
Who can see it
- When you connect, you choose Private (just you) or Household (everyone in your household).
- For Google, Outlook and Apple, only a household admin can choose Household. Anyone else's calendar comes into their private space.
- For a calendar link or Import once, anyone who can edit the Plan can choose Household.
If you disconnect
Events that came from that calendar are removed from Petal Home, and events you made in Petal Home stay. Nothing is deleted from Google, Outlook or Apple. You'll be asked to type CONFIRM.
Work and school accounts
Work and school Microsoft and Google accounts can be connected. If you use one, your organisation may need to allow Petal Home. If the connection doesn't finish, ask your IT team.
